Blessing of a Home

Lord God Almighty, holy and eternal Father,
bless this home and make it holy.

May Your peace rest upon this house
and all who live within it.
May Your holy angels guard every room,
keeping this place safe from all evil.

Drive far from here the power of the enemy,
and let nothing unclean enter through these doors.

We ask You, Lord, to fill this home
with Your presence, Your love, and Your joy.
May laughter and kindness dwell here.
May forgiveness be given readily.
May those who are weary find rest,
and those who are troubled find peace.

We place this home under the holy protection
of the Family of Nazareth —
Jesus, the Son of God,
Mary, His blessed Mother,
and Joseph, guardian of the Holy Family.

As they lived together in love, simplicity, and prayer,
so may we who dwell here
love one another faithfully,
serve one another humbly,
and seek God together each day.

Lord, bless all who enter this home:
family and friends, neighbors and strangers.

a reflection of Your own merciful heart.
