Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Consecration prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary — the heart that kept all things and pondered them, the heart pierced by the sword of sorrow.
The Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is a consecration prayer to the heart that kept all things and pondered them, and was pierced by the sword of sorrow. It is a devotion encouraged at Fatima and observed on the Saturday after the Sacred Heart. The prayer entrusts your family, your parish and your country to her care, asking that you become more like her Son. The devotion highlights Mary's heart as a refuge, and it encourages the Five First Saturdays practice of Confession, Communion, Rosary and meditation. Pray it for peace, for sinners and for your own family, and renew your trust that she leads everything to Jesus.

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Heart formed without the stain of sin, Heart that loved God perfectly from the first moment of your existence — receive us.
You kept all these things, pondering them in your heart (Luke 2:19). While the world rushed past the manger, past the flight into Egypt, past the years of hidden life, you held everything. You were the guardian of mystery.
At Cana, when no one else knew it was time, you did: "They have no wine." And at the foot of the cross, when the sword pierced your soul as Simeon had foretold — you remained. You did not flee. You stood.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, you love the Immaculate Heart of Mary with a love beyond our comprehension. Through that love, draw us into the life of Your mother.
Most Holy Mary, the Church has asked us to consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart, uniting ourselves with you in your fiat, your suffering, your hope. We do so now, imperfect as we are, trusting that your heart will carry what ours cannot.
Keep us close to your Son. Be our mother. Lead the world to the triumph your Immaculate Heart has been promised.
Amen.
