Litany of St. Joseph

Invoke St. Joseph for families, workers, urgent needs, and a holy death

The Litany of St. Joseph honours the foster father of Jesus with titles such as Guardian of the Church, Pillar of Families and Patron of the Dying. Approved for public use in 1909, it is a way to ask his help for families, workers, urgent needs and a holy death. The repeated petitions have a calm, steady rhythm that suits Joseph's own quiet nature. It is perfect for Wednesdays, traditionally dedicated to him, and for March 19. It is an easy way to turn a worry about money, housing or work into a calm, shared prayer at the end of the day.
