Heavenly Father, we come to You broken.
We held a dream in our hearts — a child we already loved, already named in our prayers, already imagined in our arms. And now that child is with You, and we are here with empty hands and heavy hearts.
We believe, Lord. We believe that every life is precious from the moment of conception. We believe our baby's soul is real, known to You, loved by You — and now held by You in a way we cannot yet fully understand.
Help us grieve. Do not let us be told to simply move on, as if what we lost was not a person. Vindicate the weight of this loss. Let our mourning be honored.
And in the aching space of grief, meet us there. Do not be far. Send Your Spirit as Comforter — the One whose very name means the one who comes alongside.
For the mother whose body carried this child: heal her, body and soul. For the father who grieved in silence: let him grieve without shame. For any siblings who do not fully understand: give them grace.
