Lord Jesus, I come before You with a humble and contrite heart. You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to search for the one who is lost. I am that lost sheep, and I return to You now.
Open my eyes to see my sins clearly and honestly. Give me the grace of true contrition — sorrow not merely from fear of punishment, but from love of You whom I have offended. You are all goodness, all love, all mercy, and I have turned away from You.
