Lord Jesus, You who healed the sick and raised the dead, I come to You now in my weakness and pain. My body is suffering, and I do not understand why. But I know that You are present in this place of suffering, just as You were present on the cross.
I ask, if it is Your will, for healing. Restore my body to health. Guide the hands of doctors and nurses who care for me. Give wisdom to those who seek to diagnose and treat what afflicts me. Protect me from discouragement and fear.
If healing does not come quickly, give me the grace to endure with patience. Let this suffering not be wasted, but united with Your own. You told us that those who carry their cross and follow You will have life. Help me to carry mine with faith.
Give comfort to those who love me and worry about me. Give me moments of rest, of peace, and of Your presence even in the night. May I know — truly know — that I am not alone.
I trust You, Lord. My life is in Your hands, and those are the best hands it could be in. Heal me, hold me, and let Your will be done. Amen.
