Lord Jesus, You who honored Your mother and father, look with tenderness upon the elderly among us.
Bless those who are aged and fragile, whose steps have slowed and whose hands tremble. Let them know that their years are not a burden but a gift — a life poured out in service, love, and faithfulness.
Comfort those who feel forgotten or alone. Send companions to walk beside them. Grant patience to those who care for them, and let that caregiving be holy.
May the elderly among us be honored in our homes and in our hearts, as Scripture commands. May they continue to bear fruit in old age, still full of sap and green (Psalm 92:14), witnesses of faith to the generations that follow.
Holy Mary, woman of grace who lived to see Your Son's glory, pray for the elderly. May they pass from this life into Your Son's arms knowing they were loved.
