Novena for Addiction Recovery – prayer for all nine days

Intention: For Freedom from Addiction, Healing, and Lasting Recovery

Heavenly Father, You created me for freedom and fullness of life, yet I find myself bound by chains I cannot break on my own. I come to You in humility, acknowledging my weakness and asking for Your saving help.

Lord Jesus, You came to set captives free and to proclaim liberty to the oppressed. I am captive to a habit that is destroying me and hurting those I love. I cannot free myself — I need Your power.

Break the chains of this addiction. Heal the wounds — the pain, the loneliness, the emptiness — that drive me to seek comfort in things that harm me. Fill the void in my heart with Your love, which alone can truly satisfy.

Grant me the humility to ask for help, the courage to face each day without falling back, and the honesty to acknowledge my struggle. Surround me with people who will support my recovery and lead me closer to You.
