Novena for Deliverance – 9 Days of Prayer

For protection from spiritual attack, deliverance from evil influences, and spiritual freedom

The Novena for Deliverance asks for protection from spiritual attack and freedom from evil influences. It is rooted in the Lord's Prayer, which ends with deliver us from evil, and it uses simple, confident language rather than anything dramatic. The tone is trust: God is stronger than whatever troubles you. It is a good prayer for people who feel oppressed by fear, temptation or a heaviness they cannot name. Pair it with the sacraments, especially confession, and with sound medical or pastoral help when needed.

Novena for Deliverance – prayer for all nine days

Intention: For Deliverance from Evil, Spiritual Protection, and Freedom in Christ

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I come before You asking for deliverance and protection. You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy. I claim that authority now through the precious Blood of Christ.

Lord God, You are greater than any power of darkness. Your Son Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death, and at His name every knee must bow. I place myself under the protection of His most precious Blood.

Deliver me from every evil influence, every spiritual attack, and every bondage that keeps me from living freely as Your child. Break every chain that the enemy has placed upon me. Close every door that should not be open, and seal me with the Holy Spirit.

I renounce all that is not of You. I reject every lie of the enemy and I choose the truth of Jesus Christ. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and surround me with Your angels.

(Pause here to mention your intentions)

St. Michael the Archangel, defend me in battle. Be my protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, I humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...

St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

Pray this prayer once a day for nine days in a row.
