Novena for Faith – prayer for all nine days

Intention: For the Deepening and Strengthening of Faith

Lord Jesus, I believe — help my unbelief! Like the father in the Gospel who cried out to You, I come with whatever faith I have and ask You to increase it.

Lord God, faith is Your gift, and I ask You to pour it out upon me in abundance. My faith is sometimes weak, sometimes clouded by doubt, sometimes shaken by the troubles of this world. But I do not want to live without You.

Strengthen my faith when it wavers. Rekindle it when it grows cold. Deepen it when it is shallow. Help me to believe not only with my mind but with my whole heart, so that my faith transforms the way I live.

Remove whatever stands between me and You — my pride, my distractions, my attachment to the things of this world. Draw me into a deeper, more personal relationship with You through prayer, the sacraments, and the reading of Your Word.
