Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena – 9 Days of Prayer
Seeking Mary's maternal intercession and help
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a beloved icon of Mary holding the child Jesus, who looks anxiously toward the angels carrying instruments of the Passion. Families have prayed before it for generations, asking for a mother's practical help in trouble. This novena follows that tradition, giving you nine days of simple, confident prayer for whatever you cannot carry alone, whether it is a sick relative, a job loss or a long-held fear. Her feast is June 27, so the novena can end on the eve of the day the Church celebrates her.
A novena is nine consecutive days of prayer. Begin nine days before the feast (June 27) and finish on its eve. You can pray this novena at any time of year.

Intention: For Mary's Perpetual Help
O Mother of Perpetual Help, behold me, a miserable sinner, at thy feet. I have recourse to thee and trust in thee.
O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may ever invoke your powerful name, which is the safeguard of the living and the salvation of the dying. O Purest Mary, O Sweetest Mary, let your name henceforth be ever on my lips. Delay not, O Blessed Lady, to help me whenever I call on you, for, in all my temptations, in all my needs, I shall never cease to call on you, ever repeating your sacred name, Mary, Mary. O what consolation, what sweetness, what confidence, what emotion fill my soul when I pronounce your sacred name, or even only think of you. I thank God for having given you, for my good, so sweet, so powerful, so lovely a name. But I will not be content with merely pronouncing your name: let my love for you prompt me ever to hail you, Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen.
