Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena – 9 Days of Prayer
For love, reparation, and devotion to the Sacred Heart
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is the Church's way of looking at the love of Christ made visible: a heart that burns with compassion and bears the wounds of the Cross. This novena draws on the revelations given to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and invites you to answer that love with devotion and reparation for the coldness of the world. It suits anyone who wants their faith to feel less like a duty and more like a friendship. The solemnity falls on the Friday after Corpus Christi, in June, so the novena runs through early summer.
A novena is nine consecutive days of prayer. You can begin this novena on any day.

Intention: To Honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus
O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer You this poor heart of mine.
O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with lively sorrow for my sins I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to Your will. Grant, Good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen.
