Blessed Carlo Acutis was an Italian teenager who loved computers and used his skills to spread devotion to the Eucharist. He died of leukaemia at fifteen in 2006. This novena asks for his help in using technology for good, in loving Jesus in the Eucharist and in living a joyful young faith. His feast is October 12. He made a website about Eucharistic miracles and never missed daily Mass. Parents of teenagers, catechists and youth leaders often pray the novena for those they love. It can also be a prompt to set healthy limits on screens.

Blessed Carlo Acutis, friend of young people and witness to the power of faith in the modern world, I come to you with my heart open. You were ordinary in so many ways — you loved soccer, coding, and video games — and yet extraordinary in one thing: you loved Jesus with your whole heart.
You used the internet not for vanity but for evangelization, creating a website to document Eucharistic miracles around the world. You said: 'We must all ask ourselves: how much do I talk to Jesus, and how much do I talk about Jesus?'
