Epiphany Novena – 9 Days of Prayer
A nine-day novena for the Feast of the Epiphany (January 6) — meditating on the journey of the Magi and asking Christ to reveal Himself to all nations, to guide all who seek Him, and to lead us to lay our gifts at His feet.
The Epiphany Novena follows the Magi who followed a star to find Christ and revealed him to all nations. It is celebrated on January 6 and asks Christ to reveal himself to you more clearly. It suits anyone who is seeking, and it carries the Christmas season toward its close. Many cultures give gifts on this day, bless homes with chalk and eat a special cake. Pray the novena as you take down the crib, and ask the Lord to show you where to place your gifts in the new year.
A novena is nine consecutive days of prayer. Begin nine days before the feast (January 6) and finish on its eve. You can pray this novena at any time of year.

Intention: For All Who Are Seeking God, for Missionaries, and for the Revelation of Christ to Every Nation
Lord Jesus, the Magi did not wait to be invited. They saw the star and they followed it — through foreign lands, through the court of a king who wanted You dead, through the desert — because something in them recognized that this star was worth following even when they did not know where it led. Give us the same courage. Amen.
Lord of all nations,
you revealed yourself at Bethlehem
not only to shepherds who were nearby,
but to magi who were far away —
strangers, foreigners, seekers from another world.
They came following a star they could not explain.
They could not have told you why they came,
only that something drew them.
And when they arrived and saw the child,
they fell down and worshipped.
Lord, the world is still full of magi.
Full of seekers following something they cannot name.
Full of people who were not raised in the faith
but who feel, somewhere deep,
that there is a light they are meant to find.
Reveal yourself to them.
Let the star that led the wise men
shine over their restless searching.
Let them find You — in a face, in a word,
in the charity of someone who follows You.
And for us who have already found You —
or been found — let us not hide the light.
Let us be a star to someone who is still looking.
We bring You our gifts:
not gold, frankincense, and myrrh,
but all we have.
Our time. Our work. Our love.
Lay them at Your feet.
Accept them. Use them. Transform them.
Amen.
Hail Mary... Our Father... Glory Be...
Lord, let Your light shine to all nations.

Traditional Catholic Devotional Prayer · Feast Day: January 6. The Epiphany (from Greek: manifestation) commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ Child in Bethlehem, as recorded in Matthew 2:1-12. They came from the East following a star, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The feast also commemorates Christ's Baptism and the wedding at Cana — three manifestations of His divinity to the world.
