Our Lady of Lourdes Novena – 9 Days of Prayer
Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes — prayed February 2–11 for physical, spiritual, and emotional healing
Our Lady of Lourdes appeared to the young Bernadette Soubirous in 1858, and the spring that rose at the grotto has drawn pilgrims seeking healing ever since. This novena asks for physical, emotional and spiritual healing and for consolation in suffering. It is prayed from February 2 to 10, ending on the eve of the feast, which is February 11 and also the World Day of the Sick. Pilgrims drink and bathe in the spring at the grotto, and the Church has recognised a number of cures there, though healing of the heart is the most common gift. Pray the novena from home with a bottle of water blessed by a priest if you wish.

Our Lady of Lourdes, you appeared to little Bernadette in a cold grotto in France and identified yourself as 'the Immaculate Conception.' You asked for prayer, penance, and processions. You caused a spring to flow that has brought healing to millions.
Our Lady of Lourdes, I come to you as the sick and wounded came to the grotto — with nowhere else to go and everything to hope for. You promised Bernadette: 'I do not promise you happiness in this world, but in the next.' I hold onto that promise today.
I bring my illness, my wound, my grief, and place it before you as those pilgrims placed themselves in the waters of Lourdes. Touch me, Mother. Intercede for me.

Our Lady of Lourdes, Health of the Sick — pray for me. St. Bernadette, who received Mary's message with simple faith — pray for me.
