St. Faustina Novena – 9 Days of Prayer

Novena to the mystic and visionary to whom Jesus revealed the message of Divine Mercy for the whole world

St. Faustina Kowalska was a Polish sister to whom Jesus is believed to have revealed the message of Divine Mercy, recorded in her Diary. This novena asks for her intercession and the grace to trust in Christ's mercy. It suits anyone who feels unworthy or afraid of God. Her feast is October 5, and her message has shaped devotion around the world through the Chaplet and Divine Mercy Sunday. Because she was a humble nun with little schooling, her life shows that God works through ordinary people. Try praying it at three in the afternoon, the hour of mercy, and notice how it quiets the day.

St. Faustina Novena – prayer for all nine days

Intention: For Trust in God's Mercy and Conversion of Heart

O St. Faustina Kowalska, beloved apostle of God's mercy, Jesus appeared to you and said: 'I want to give you a mission. I want to bring souls to know My mercy.' You accepted this mission with complete trust and humility.

St. Faustina, I come to you with a soul that needs God's mercy. Like you, I am weak and imperfect. Like you, I have sinned. But you taught us not to be paralyzed by our wretchedness — you taught us to run to Jesus with all of it, trusting in His infinite mercy.

You wrote in your Diary: 'The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy.' Help me to believe this for myself. Help me to trust not in my own goodness, but in God's.

(Pause here to mention your intentions)

St. Faustina, intercede for me. Obtain for me a deep experience of God's mercy — the mercy that heals, restores, and transforms. And help me, in turn, to be merciful to others — in deed, word, and prayer, as Jesus asked.

Jesus, I trust in You.

Our Father... Hail Mary... Glory Be...

St. Faustina Kowalska, pray for us.

Pray this prayer once a day for nine days in a row.
